Some of the differences between
America and London that really stood out to me because these are things that I actually
experienced at some point or came close to! J
London is a extravagant place but there is an will never be no place like HOME.
The bathroom or restroom is not recognized the loo or the
toilet is more appropriate.
There is no such thing as personal space on the tube,
sidewalk, bus, or anywhere else for that matter.
Small
is the new big when
it comes to cramped elevators, narrow stairwells that you would assume were
dangerous to walk on, showers that double as smoke chambers or close knit
saunas, portion sizes at restaurants, the streets that don’t seem the slightest
big enough for the cars, the houses, Shots, and remotely Everything …lol just
kidding but you get my point!
Stand on the left of the escalators or you will be run over
by impatient Londoners n the right!
Elevators don’t exist they are called LIFTS and fit about
50-60 people literally.
Color is spelled Colour and Microsoft word even knows it lol
To go means take away and if you don’t specify you’ll get
your meal to stay!
Requesting ice water is like asking for a steak at McDonalds.
Football is not soccer.. Its just a game played with the
feet that looks a lot like freaking Soccer to me!!
Having a server come and check on you and do ridiculous
things such as take your order, refill your drink, get your food correct, and
bring the bill on time is clearly rocket science!
RANCH is NOT ranch. Dont try it!!!!!
These are not even close to all the differences between the
United States and the United Kingdom. Just a few that really grinds my gears. ;)
